1. About CuCu
CuCu is a mobile application and website that helps users understand the ingredients in skin and beauty products. The app and this website are operated by the CuCu team (“CuCu,” “we,” “us”).

2. Terms of use
- You may use CuCu for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- You agree not to misuse the service — including scraping, reverse-engineering, attempting to disrupt the service, or using it to build a competing ingredient database.
- Product information and scores are provided “as is” for general informational purposes. Formulations change, and we cannot guarantee that every product listing reflects the latest formulation on the shelf.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account, and for keeping access to your email account secure (CuCu sign-in is email-based).
- CuCu is not intended for children under 13.
3. CuCu+ subscription terms
- CuCu+ is an optional yearly auto-renewing subscription. Core scanning and product scores remain free without it.
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at purchase confirmation.
- The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Canceling stops future renewals; benefits continue until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their store policies.
4. Medical disclaimer
CuCu is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, dermatological, or professional advice, and it is not a diagnosis or a guarantee that any product is safe or unsafe for you. Always read the product label and consult a qualified professional for medical or skin-health concerns.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CuCu and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or website, including decisions made based on product scores or ingredient information. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and nothing limits your statutory consumer rights.
6. Intellectual property
The CuCu name, logo, mascot, app, and website content are the property of CuCu. Third-party product names, brands, and trademarks shown in the app belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify products.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll update the date above and notify users in the app. Continued use of CuCu after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
