Is CuCu medical advice?
No. CuCu is an informational and educational tool. Scores and flags are based on publicly available ingredient risk data — they are not medical, dermatological, or professional advice. For personal skin-health concerns, always consult a qualified professional.
How does the score work?
Every ingredient in a product is matched against a database of public scientific and regulatory references. Ingredients with documented concerns reduce the score based on the strength of the concern, producing a single 0–100 result. You can read the full method on our Ingredient Scoring page.
Can brands pay to improve their score?
Never. CuCu is independent — no brand pays us, so no brand can buy a better score. CuCu is funded only by the optional CuCu+ subscription. Read more on our Independence page.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app, go to Profile, then tap Delete account. You can also request deletion by email — full instructions are on the Delete Account page.
